rescue done yesterday. 18/07/2012.
a truck driver hit a low flying black flying fox with his mirror the night before. however, did not report it in. he drove by the the next day to check up on the bat and it was hanging in a tree. there are offices near by so they called it in.
on arrival we found the bat in the tree. the bat did not seem to have any external injuries. for it to be still in the tree, something must be wrong. so with a bit of a fight, we were able to get him off the tree (double towels) and take in some juice. however he/she was more interested at screaming at us.
the bat is now in caring hands.
will update with injuries etc soon.
