Just some info I learn from our very experienced batty ppl. If you want to learn more about interesting bat info, mega or micro, visit Australian Bat Society.
You can ask them basic info (prob don't need to. As you have most likely already learnt from all the great batty pages/blogs out there) to advanced hard core info.

According to most recent molecular  research, bats are now divided into yang and yin. Sub-order  Yin pterochiroptera comprises Pteropodidae (megabats) and the superfamily Rhinolophoidea (horse-shoe, leaf nosed, ghost bats). All other bats are in Yangochiroptera suborder. Most people including scientists still talk about mega and micro bats as this is simpler to understand as micros (yang) bats are very different from Pteropoids (mega bats). Just interesting that the Rhinos (ghost bats, leaf nosed and horse-shoes) have the most advanced echolocation and Pteropoids have none.
