These Bats Mysteriously Survived a Killer Fungus

May 27, 2015 - White-nose syndrome is lethal to hibernating bats in North America. As of 2015, the fungus has spread to 26 states throughout the Northeast, South, and Midwest, as well as five Canadian provinces. However, researchers have observed behavioral changes that appear to be tied to better survival rates for the bats. There's hope that more bats will survive if they can adapt to the fungus.
