Our Story
Hi! We are Mariana and Alejandro, a team of two young biologists. We want to travel to Honduras to work as volunteers with what we are most passionate about, bats!, in an awesome conservation organization called “Kanahau”. Kanahau is a newly established research facility on the north side of the island of Utila.
We love bats! So..
We want to help with projects related to bat conservation and contribute to catalog species in Utila. We have plenty of experience working with these animals. Nevertheless, we are from Venezuela. Due to the Venezuela's economic crisis, we are not able to afford the fees.
But, why bats? Bats are tremendously important. These curious animals provide vital ecosystem services such as pest control, pollination and seed dispersal. Therefore, help to help bats! Every penny counts!
