So you thought that you would grab an early morning coffee and head to the ocean and park on a point to see the great views..
You park right near a Bat hanging on barbed wire and don't notice it until you get out of the car..
That's strange.. take a closer look.. its stuck! Caught on a barb! So now what do I do..?
Cherie, who came across this young Grey-headed was quick to act by looking up Wildlife/Bat rescue on her phone and called in for a rescue.

While waiting, read more about Bats and learnt not to rescue the Bat herself, as you all know.. right😔. Also placed a towel over the Bat. Why would you place a towel over the Bat?

This, girl, the Megabat was out on a ocean point totally exposed to the elements and predators, sea eagles for example, dehydrated, stressed, tired spending all night trying to get untangled and starving.
She was caught by two fingers on the right hand/wing membrane. The fingers were broken.
Very under weight with no muscle tone or any fat. Her stomach was totally empty.😢
