" Watch as this tiny Grey-headed flying fox, all alone and hanging on for his dear life, is rescued by Energex and a Bat Wildlife Rescue Carer after the recent heavy storms in Brisbane (Kenmore). This baby bat was stranded clinging onto powerlines without a Mum for two days through heavy rain and storms. He was a tiny 105g in weight and when rescuers first arrived, they thought he was dead. But after been rescued, then receiving oxygen and veterinary treatment and then straight into a humidity crib he miraculously survived the ordeal and has now recovered from his near-death experience. Grey-headed flying foxes are a threatened species in Australia and a protected species. "

" Little baby “Bobbin” the Grey-headed Flying fox, who amazingly survived hanging from powerlines for 2 days through rain and stormy weather (see rescue here www.facebook.com/Wildlife.Toowong/videos/1084748025442488 ) is now enjoying a second chance at life thanks to the an amazing bat carer who nursed him around the clock to bring him back to good health. Let’s face it “Bobbin” is pretty cute (and looks wise beyond his years!) and he will grow up to play a crucial part in contributing to a healthy ecosystem through seed dispersal and pollination. And watching them fly out across the night sky is pretty special. That little wink maybe to his rescuers saying thank you. "
That wink at the end..🤗
