"Dear members it is with great sadness and regret I email to
inform you of the passing of our education bat Esmeralda."
"Ezy as we called her was the sweetest girl and like Gilbert
loved the bat human relationship. Ezzy has been with us for over 12 months and
has been a little star on events. Ezzy was always a cling on to Marg as Marg
educated the public to the beauty and wonder of our furry friends.
Ezzy was found on Monday morning with breathing difficulty
and was rushed to our local vet Dr David Banks. Dr Banks did all he could but
Ezzy needed more specialist help. An emergency call to the RSPCA and an
ambulance was sent for our beautiful girl. I arrived at the RSPCA about an hour
after Ezzy was admitted to find Vet Dr Tania and vet nurse Nicole doing their
best to save little Ezzy. They both worked tirelessly with our little sweetie
who looked so tiny and vulnerable. I was so very impressed with how everyone at
the RSPCA tried their utmost to save her. Sadly it was her time to leave us.
Esmeralda is now another bright star in the sky along with
our sadly missed and beloved Gilbert.
Rest in peace dear little Ezzy."
