Microbats and snake rescue (well, removed the snake away) today.
We got a call that a snake was trying to eat some microbats.
When I got there, two bats had flown away. Two were already in a box and two more were still with the snake in a pergola, under the side roof.
So I took the side panel off the pergola and removed the two bats. HOWEVER, one bat flew away and the other flew but was captured by a sneaky little bird who must've been watching us! DAMN IT!! so I don't know if the bird eaton the bat or the bat got away from its grip. that bird was quick.
Eventually removed the snake. ohh, it was a baby snake. (Central carpet python). Will be checked for mites n health and be released by snake rescuer.
(no pics of the bats... sorry).
