Rescue | Megabat black female from shipping container port Flying-fox Fruit bat

Found at the port of brisbane, Queensland, AU.
Was hanging under a low sign. less than a meter off the ground in the middle of a very busy shipping container storage site where trucks are loaded with containers.

She was very dirty.. sooty. our hands were covered in black dust.

She has an injured/bruised wing/arm and had a little blood in her mouth. But once she had a drink the blood was not visible again.
she is pregnant... lost her baby the next day.

when i got home, she was laying on her back with the banana in one foot munching away.

after grooming her and a scratch around the head n neck, she calmed down and had a snooze.

her wings are very dry and covered soot. so i cleaned them. she was ok with me doing so. not one bite or any anger. amazing for a wildlie. but thats how trusting bats are when they realize you are not a predator.
