- Kids’ activities – Face painting, Craft, and Bat Games
- Prizes for best dressed batty costumes
- Find out about bat rescue and meet a bat in care. See the display from Bat Conservation and Rescue Queensland (BCRQ)and find out how you can help bats.
- Have your photo taken with BCRQ’s human sized costume bat- Stella. Don’t forget to bring your camera.
- Compare humans and bats with bat skeletons on display
- Find out what microbats fly round your gardens at night. Bat scientists Drs Monika and Martin Rhodes will present the amazing findings of the bat survey conducted for and with Cubberla-Witton Catchments Network
- Find out how scientists study and catch bats including viewing a harp trap
- Go on a bat walk and detect microbats with bat scientists, Monika, Julie and Martin. Julie will be demonstrating the amazing new Anabat Walkabout detector which can help identify the bats from their calls.
- Enter the fun Bat Quiz for a chance to win a fabulous prize donated by Titley Scientific or your very own bat box donated by Hollow Log homes.
- And if you get hungry there is a Sausage Sizzle – snags, refreshments, coffee and cake.
