This short clip shows the beautiful award winning photography of Ofer Levy which highlights the beauty and fragility of Australia's flying-foxes. Their struggle to survive in a jungle of misinformation and lies which portray these wonderful animals as the harbingers of disease and death. Few seem to want to take the time to learn the truth. The importance of bats to our environment cannot be understated, they are a critical partner in forest health. Australian Bat Lyssavirus is the rarest fatal disease in the world having killed 3 people in history, since routine vaccination that protect people no one should die from this rare virus. The answer is simple, if you don't touch bats you have nothing to fear. Any bat alone through the day should be reported to your nearest wildlife organisation or to the RSPCA.
