Another place to witness a spectacular fly out is at the Boonah Tourist Information Centre NOW 29/1/2014 (they will go soon). It's a controversial spot. This large number of Little red Flying-foxes have just arrived to join up with others. This only proves how mobile these animals are and how ridiculous it would be to attempt to kill bats at one location because they are inconvenient! Our bats in Qld are a mobile community that move around the landscape pollinating and dispersing seeds to grow the forests of the future. No me no tree! Australians need to wake up to the amazing wildlife that are around them and educate each other about tolerance and the importance of our keystone flying-foxes. Fabulous tourism potential!
