Rescue | Megabats spectacled heatwave cairns

Wildlife carers say hundreds of spectacled flying foxes have dropped dead from trees around Cairns due to heat stress today.

They’ve set up a pop-up bat hospital at the Cairns Library to look after surviving flying foxes.
People are reminded not to touch injured or heat stressed bats.
