Johnny Depp sponsored an orphaned 10-week-old bat and bottle-fed it in a wildlife center
Johnny Depp appeared in full Jack Sparrow costume, during a visit to the Australian Bat Clinic & Wildlife Trauma Centre, where he sponsored an orphaned baby bat.
In a recent video uploaded on the center's Facebook Page, Depp is seen bottle-feeding the tiny 10-week-old bat while he asked the caretakers about the details of the animal's adventure into the world. He appropriately named the bat, "Jackie Sparrow".
The wildlife center announced on Facebook that Johnny Depp caught up with them again for an update on the bat, little Jackie Sparrow.
"Here is a video of Dad bottle feeding his little orphaned baby. It's so fantastic to see him showing a genuine interest, and helping us raise awareness for bats," states the caption accompanying the video.
They also added that it "was at the end of a very busy day or shooting" for Depp as they are filming the "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" in Australia. He came to the clinic straight from the set still wearing his pirate costume.
